MIMASOFT was applied in the construction of the East Sierra Gorda Eolic Park and its electric transmission line. Developed by Enel Green Power in Calama, Antofagasta Region, Chile, it was our first experience of design and implementation of our solution.
With this project, a number of different company requirements were met, such as: the compatibilization with existing software tools which managed information in a partial form; the integration of different areas that register and use sustainability data; the join design of reports for participating areas, and the definition of an algorithm to estimate the environmental impact adapted to the particular characteristics of the power plant and Enel Green Power. Additionally, we participated in the result verification process, from the requirements of the ISO 14.044 norm of Life cycle Analysis.
The project was rewarded both internally at the company and internationally, because of its high degree of innovation. It was finalist in the Recyclapolis Awards 2017.
"The value of MIMASOFT is the wealth of information that it can deliver about the environmental impact of our projects and this information is very rich, because it allows us to improve our environmental management in terms of costs, human resources and, above all, results.
MIMASOFT improves the visibility of environmental management in different aspects. That is, I can know the level of resource consumption in real-time. I also can know a project's level of compliance with environmental commitments in real time, and even more, I can know the environmental footprint for every one of these projects".
